Question guy's,I am getting ready to buy a GPS( not sure which one yet) but my question is on most of the units can you pre program a route to travel for a long trip?
Thanks for any info

Hello Santa, I'd like a new pony for Christmas, I've been a very good boy. Oh wait, different question. Sorry
I have the StreetPilot and I can down load routes from my computer, useing MapSource. There's some guys in my club that have the Zumo's and do the same. Or you can plan a route on the unit itself. The routes you down load from your computer can be very complex, and catch all the back road.
I have a left handed HB mounted Garmin/Ram moount. I prefer this due to the eas of use and can still use throttle. The height is perfect for me and wife while 2 up as she can see it as well. I ran the power into headlight spare power supply.
Very happy with this set up.

We plotted a route for our two weeks tour through Europe last June, day by day. Travelled through 6 countries for 2,500 miles. I have a TomTom which seems better for European mapping, although I gather Garmin is better for the USA.
I just bought and installed the fairing mount for my 660. I hooked the power to the headlight extra power. Drilling the holes were a lil depressing, but it does look cleaner when all together.
I do have one question I left the mic and usb jack inside the fairing since I dont need them, but I wanted to hook up the Aux jack inside the fairing. right now I have it stickng out of the right handlebar to hook it up to the aux on the front of the radio. I have searched and found a few threads here and there about making a aux imput to the rear but there are no pics. one thread use to have pics but now dont since they are so old. any help with getting one with pics. I'm a visual person.
Back on track. I would say the fairing mount, but if you dont like holes in your fairing then hb mount. Plus with the fairing mount you don't have to look too far down to see your gps.
Thanks guys I have one in my Fishing Boat and I thought the technology was better by now.
Oh yea Glide the pony is in the mail but if you have been a good boy ya don't get nothin'. We had to be good when we were little now we can be as bad as we want.

P.S. Nice color on your Scoot Glide
