I have a Tom Tom mounted on my left handle bar; I got the mount from www.mountguys.com. works great. That being said; if I had the Zumo 660 or 550 I may have gone with the fairing mount; pretty nice looking.
I have a Zumo 450 and used http://www.techmounts.com/info/ on the handle bars - very clean looking mount and easy to work - if you are New to having a GPS on you motorcycle - Be DAMN careful - it is a great way to have an accident..

I am currently running a Garmin 705... I also use it on my MTB LMAO... Pic's a little small, gets the job done though, but I wanna upgrade... plus I don't really need my heart rate while riding a scoot...
Anyway I will probably go with the fairing mount, but again I appreciate you inputs
I have mine on the right bar on my old Glide, it would obscure the speedo on the left. Unexpected advantage is my wife can see it. I don't have sound, but I have hawkeye peering over my shoulder giving me guidance when traffic is busy or a turning is not clear. We get along just fine!
I have the Road Tech on the dash mount on my '09 Ultra. I've had several bikes with different mounts and found the upper dash works better for me because it keeps it more in the line of sight than down lower on the bars. It is easier for me to take a quick glance at the dash mount than it is to look all the way down to the handlebars.
Advantage to the bar mount is that it can be removed without leaving a mark. The dash mount requires holes in the dash. Also the bar mounts, like the RAM types, are more adaptable to different types of GPS units while the dash mounts are model specific.

I just got my Zumo 660 and while it is not mounted just yet (too cold here in WI at the moment) it is going on the fairing of our 09 Ultra.
I've seen both HB and fairing mounts and the latter just seems to be a much cleaner look and being a tall rider I think it will be easier for me to see it at a glance.
The downside to the fairing mount is that a few holes need to be drilled into the inner fairing. The way I see it, I just got the bike last March so it will be awhile before it gets traded and by that time Garmin or someone else will have a bigger better faster GPS unit and the old one can go with the bike.
I have mine on the handle bars .. I like it because I can remove it for local riding. I only put it on the bike when I need it for trips or to find something
