Default King Tour Pak Backrest ?

Do they make a backrest for the King TP without the armrest similiar to the one on chopped pack? Think that might look good like to see pics if someone's done this.

My wife didn't want the armrest so I took a chopped backrest, removed the mounts (the holes don't line up), pulled the cover off, & hard mounted it to the tour pack with a couple of bolts. She's happy & I like the look better than the big backrest. Here's a couple of pictures.....

Jinks that looks great! My wife doesn't ride very much and I originally thought about detachable TP but I use the darn TP so much about talked myself out of that idea. This chopped pak looks more streamline I likey!

I just started a similar discussion a week or so ago. Here's the link:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-tour-pak.html

Bottom line is yes, you can put a chopped tp backrest on the king tp. However, you will have to drill new holes in the king tp so the bolts in the backrest will work. Also, the king tp has holes on the outside (both sides) that will be exposed if you use the chopped backrest.

I ended up going with a chopped tp and backrest for a nice clean look. Had a hard time justifying paying the same $$ for less storage.

Go to your local hd dealer and flip open the lid of an ultra and take a look. That's what I did and it all became clear what is needed to be done.

Good Luck!

I put the chopped backrest on mine after I had an accident and had the tour pak repainted.

Looks good w/the chopped back rest. Wife actually wants that wrap around backrest for when she gets lazy or drowsy on the back. So, y'all can guess which one I'll get when I buy one...
