Hi im buying a new Ultra Limited (merlot/cherry sunglo) and the dealer wants me to have it simonized for about 5 hundred bucks, they said it carries a 5 year warrenty, i myself dont think it is worth it. Has anyone had this done?

 

After that little "sales pitch" I'd be worried about buying a bike from that guy....

It's wax you can buy anywhere.... some have a #7 grit for removing oxidation..

WTF $500 to Simonize a bike...your dealer is "high"! Dude, don't waste your cash; there are some great "high end" polishes/waxes on the market for a fraction of that price. Besides, $500 is 1/2 of what you'll need for a Stage 1.

 

That's just crazy. Does he sell cars too? That sounds like car dealer crap. It's called "upsale" Squeeze every last cent out of the buyer. He must think he has a live one. Do you have "sucker" on your forehead? Don't do it.

I Thought the same as you guys what a rip off, but i think he is trying to recoop some cash after the deal im getting, the new bike is 24 grand and he is giving me 16,300 for my 07 ultra, i think he shot me that deal thinking i wouldnt trade.
the dealer is a great dealer, i bought my 07 from them and was treated very well in every way
