JimTJr Thanks for the encouragement and the prayers (Lord knows we need them).. I am hoping to make it.. seems it can take up to 7 days to get out of here to the States. I didn't realize that Bike Week was during the time I was to come home until recently. It will be my first one to attend if I make it, as it was hard to make it while stationed in Hawaii. But I look forward to riding while home regardless, it would just be a nice addition to the trip.
I also live "here"...no matter when you get here, you will not be ablle to see everything.
As someone mentioned....Iron Horse Saloon is a place to see and be seen....Destination Daytona...bring your credit cards. (you will find something you never thought you needed.) White Eagle, just north of Dest Daytona.....go at night (you may be surprised).
Last Resort Bar....few miles south of Daytona.....and YES....Daytona gets crowded, but if you want to ride.....head North to St Augustine (nations oldest city), south to Kennedy Space Center......West past Deland is some great roads, Ocala also...Horse country. Main Street (Boot Hill Saloon, Main Street Saloon, Full Moon Saloon, Froggys Saloon, Dog House saloon, Dirty Harrys Saloon.....plus all the other stuff on Main Street.
Daytona Bike Week only happens once a year. I understand if you can't make it.
Check out the Florida Crew Forum, just a little below the "Gun Enthusiast" on HDforms.
