I have a QC2 and it is great, used it as an intercom riding sweep for a group ride of 18 bikes. Worked well as long as we didn't get too spread out and I could see the Lead with the other headset. If we got separated it would disconnect and reconnect when we where within range. The only thing I really wanted was more range and the G4 looks like it might do it. Since it is backwards compatible I can use the QC2 as a passenger set.
I have been using it for over 1 month... it is great! I love being able to hear stereo music straight from my Zumo 660 over bluetooth... the features are all amazing... i did not tray the bike to bike range of 1mile yet as all my buddies have the q2, but it works well with the q2.
I mostly am interested in the MP3 playback and the occasional communications between MCs. Approximately how many hours of playback does the battery last and how long does it take to recharge?
Can the G4 be charged while in use?
We're planning on taking a trip that is going to last about 9 to 10 hours in a single day.
I haven't personally used this so I don't have an answer for the playback time but I suspect 8-9 hours may be pushing it for any device powering speakers with continous music. As far as I know, it only charges when "not" in use. It uses a USB cord to charge.
Thanks for the comment about the price. I always like to point out we have service as well. It's usually very easy to find a good price or good service. It's very hard to find a place that offers both and we've always been known to do that very well.
Sorry I didn't have more specific answers.

I'm not acquainted with headsets--never used them before. I assume one rider uses the one headset with the protruding mike, so how can you have stereo with just one piece per rider? I'll have to check my phone, but I assume an MP3- and BT-capable phone will play over BT, assuming A2DP. Not sure if mine does that, but I'll check.
So why not four riders?
Just read the documentation. The interconnectivity is not pure inteconnectivity between all devices, but rather daisy chained between each device, so 1 talks to 2, 2 links with 3 and the limit is 4 devices. No reason I can see why not 4 riders, but... if any one drops out the link is broken between all downstream.
