My cd player is garbage.Don't really have much money right now to put
in an mp3.Any suggestions on a decent one for fifty dollars or under? I
am really missing my music. It is just not the same riding without ZZ Top.
Take a look at the Sunday (1/31) ad for Staples, they have a 4GB player for $19.99 or a 4 GB player with video for $29.99. Check out Wally World online also, they're always running specials.
One other thing to consider if you have a phone that has an SD or other card slot, you can use that for an mp3 player also.
Go to ebay and look for 3rd or 4th gen apple Nanos that have been refurbished, they're good as new and 3rd gen's (best looking on a bike IMHO) are cheap and you have a good selection of mounts and accs for them. And it's hard to beat i-tunes for uploading music to the player!
Look here.(today only)
I have one of these and it works great. It's small
enough to Velcro to inner fairing or dash.
i have one of the sandisk sansa clip 8gb players haven't used it hooked to my bike yet .what is the sound quality and volume like when you play it through your hk radio on the bike?
I got my Sony walkman (4gb mp3) on Amazon it is just over half full with 537 songs and I plug it in to any aux. radio and it rocks! Great to have all that commercial free music on shuffle mode. The Sony also has a fm radio built in. Don't know what I would do without it now.
From: Dallas, TX & Santa Fe, NM when I can find the time....
Some good suggestions here. You'll be better off on your bike with one that uses flash memory. The vibrations cause the others to freeze up now and again (I know this from personal experience).
For apple, that's the shuffle, Nano and touch. The refurbished route is a good way to go to save some coin.
Never used an MP3 player on the bike. If I plug in a IPod Shuffle loaded with songs, will I still be able to control all of the stereo handlebar control functions?
