Also I use "MP3 Gain" to equalize the volume between all songs. That way you're not always reaching for the volume button.
Hope this helps. Ken[/QUOTE]
Thanks for the program for volume. The mp3gain has 89 as the default, just wondering if that works out the best? Tried a couple albums and most are at 93-98 so 89 seems a little low for burning to data cd's. Yes I know this is for mp3 but I like the idea of burning several albums to a cd as long as it works.

I think if you go much over that it will distort the music. You can experiment.
89 is what I use and it seems fine.
What ever you set it at, if you do all the music at the same level, it makes for a more enjoyable ride.
Been running the Harley Road Tech MP3 on my deuce for going on 5 years, however I recently added Sirius Radio to my bike because I have a short that occasionally knocks out the mp3 player. Sirius is cool because you can have your payments shut down when your bike riding is out of season. It is hard to find the mp3 player anymore as it was replaced by a gps/mp3 system by Road Tech.
I use the iPod with the stock radio and keep it in the Boom Audio Tank Pouch. For about $40.00 this keeps it close and it is easy to skip songs when riding. One of the best things HD has come out with under $100. Otherwise you might be able to clip the iPod to your clutch cable.
I use an fm transmitter. you can buy them on ebay for $9. buy an sd card and load hundreds of mp3's on it. you can add or delete tracks whenever you want. You tune your radio to a lower number station like 88.7, 88.9 etc. plug the transmitter into the cig lighter and it plays thru the audio system. works great, been using these for a couple years on the bike and in my truck.
