Some of you guys really remove the faring to get the headlight bezel off? I've never had to do that. When I went to the SE bezel I just pulled the bubble off and put the new bezel on.
good greef Charlie Borown, The discussion is changing a light bulb, not the benzel!!!
Assuming I don't read too well and missed your point, prezactly how do you replace your pre 2010 Road Glide headlamp bulb without removing the fairing?? Inquiring minds want to know.....
Having done this , here goes. The plate has the lights attached to the front instead of the rear so you can unscrew the 4 screws and remove a bulb from the front. The three bolts in the back have bigger heads and are shorter because of the repositioning of the plate closer to the steering head. The gteen clips are the same. After taking off the fairing outer and changing the light unit, replace the fairing without the light s and use th hole to guide the fairing. Then clip in the headlite unit. It sits deeper in the fairing. Then clip in the new bezel to cover up the plate. Done. Soons I can figure out how to post, I will add pictures.
