Reception sucks on all of them, go to autozone and buy one of the little rubber antennas and just stuff it in the fairing. Works much better and cheaper also.

I left mine where it was. Picked up one of the black grommets to fill the hole in the back from my HD dealer. It was $2 or something.

Went to Radio Shack and bought a jack, used speaker wire, threaded it thru the gauges, fairing frame, etc "tackfully" secured it with small zip ties and it works perfect, better than external tall antenna. Cost 2 bucks. Can't see it, don't know it's there.
Home stereo ant that comes with the turner is great also.
Several of my riding buddies have opted for this inexpensive way of great reception.

With the Ultra Classic, it's just such a big bundle of wires under the seat. With low-profile seat it's tough to squeeze it all in. That's why I asked.

It does take a bit of finesse but it can be done. Mustang solo seats are lower than the stock seat and need extra care to get everything to fit but once you do it and see where all the plugs and wires sit under the seat, you can put everything there each time and it goes pretty quick,.. 2-3 min
I change mine often through the season and can do it in pretty quick

I got a amplified universal hidden antennae from autozone and installed it today. Works just as good as the whip. mounted it inside the front fairing at the top above the speedo and tack. It has 3m tape so i used it to stick it so it wouldn't move. Tied the power supply into the lighter wire since i don't use it for anything else. Used a pre-drilled hole on the steering frame( bottom under fairing) with a spade terminal for the ground. I added hogtunes w/amp so figured why not since I was arleady there. The antennae was $20. Very easy install.

I did the mod to mine put the antenna under the front fairing. Didn't waist my time with ebay went to Kragen and purchased one for half the price ebay and HD wants. Took about 30 mins to install and tuck wires away from old antenna out of tour pak. Works great will be telling everyone about it around here.
