I have been thinking about installing a antenna inside the fairing. Who has done this mod, which model/brand did you use, and how happy are you with the performance. Thanks
I have the ebay model that doesn't seem to have a name, but cost around $25. I think if you do a search on Street Glide antenna, you will find it. It is the same antenna for all the Harleys.
It has good instructions which make it simple, easy and fast to install. Most posters here, like me, have had good luck with it. But there have been a couple who said they lost coverage. I am very happy with mine and would get another.
+1 on the cheap one from ebay. It has some 3m tape to secure inside the fairing. You don't need a power source. Just plug it into the back of the radio where the old antenna was. You also pick up the weatherband.
Had the dealer put one in the front fairing when I purchased the bike. Not sure of the brand. FM reception works great. Very little AM reception. Comes in real handy if you have a removable tour pak.

Just got mine from eBay, 1+ on works great just as good as the stock and $23 shipped? Its the way to go!!!
