Have had one on the last 3 bikes. Wouldn't own a bike without one.

I took mine off and got an extended toe shifter.

The bikes I learned to ride on back in the late 60's had heel/toe shifters. I tried using them, didn't really have a problem with them, just felt more comfortable using the toe side. For "me," it felt more natural to pull the toe up for an upshift than to push down with the heel. Most bikes I've ridden since then didn't have heel shifters anyway and that's only served to solidify my natural inclinations. As someone else mentioned, removing the heel shifter was the first mod I did to my bike as soon as I got it home. It's not a big deal either way, just depends on what the individual prefers.

I removed the Heel shifter right after I got the bike, it just get's in the way

Last 3 Harley's I've owned have had it. Wouldn't have it any other way. Can keep my feet up on my crash bars and just kick down to shift!
