I changed my original with a Walters Workshop extended heel shifter , and use it everytime I ride.

used it for two years on my Ultra then took it off. Don't know why I waited so long to remove it. Don't understand the scuffed boot thing, I'm not dressed for the cotillion.

I use it most of the time but almost took it off when I had a brain fart and down shifted getting on the highway.

Took it off after about three weeks. Could not get used to it.

You guys that struggled with shifting after losing the forward lever, you could have taken it off and rotated it forward. But then you would have to figure out how to upshift with no heel lever.

Some of us who have removed them throw 'em in the bags for when the other shifter splines strip.

I didn't think that I would like heel shifting but I do and now use it 100% of the time!

Use it because its there, and its convenient. Not a necessary item, I could live without it, but it is nice to have. So, yes, I like it (most of the time).

A toe shifter is pretty hard on Ostrich skin boots. I always use my heel shifter.

use it when i'm just cruising.when the speeds pick up then i just use the toe shiffter.i did put on the easy brake ext. levers and have more than enough room.love the option of being able to use both
