After describing the bike pictured below in an earlier post unrelated to the price of it, I got a few comments on the bikes worth and it got me thinking that I should probe a little more.

I am fairly new to the buying process and thought for sh*ts and giggles I would post pics and get some more replies from those interested in lending a hand to me landing this bike.

For those that missed the description in the previous post, it is a year 2000 and has 21,250 miles, it comes with 3 seats (solo, 2-up sundowner, stock), two windshields, new tires (1000 miles), new rear rim, vance and hines, stage one, leather tour pack...seller is asking 11,000 or best offer.

What do you think is a fair offer?

THANKS!

I had posted in your other thread.
Your have to remember all the extras were for the previous owner...not for you.
I'm still saying that $9k or less for this bike would be a good deal for you.
Anything above that would be a good deal for the seller.

Just from the pics you have shown, he's also added quite a bit more chrome.

Have no idea what it's worth though, sorry.

Being a 2000 has the cam bearing been replaced yet? The 99s and 00s had inferior design in the bearing. If it hasn't failed yet, IT WILL! Mine went out at about 35k miles on my Softail Standard.
IF you can replace it yourself, it's not an expensive job. If you have to pay, I am sure it would be pricey.....
Just something to "Dicker" with him on... and it's not "BS"...there was an extended warranty offered on those bikes, 5 yrs or 50k miles, which ever came first.... so HD knew it was a poor design.
They went from a caged ball bearing style, to caged roller bearing style. Much beefier bearing than the original.

+1 Hell try $8500, times are tough all over! That can at least start the bickering!

Yeah that looks like a dealer. I would find out what the trade in value is and offer a little bit above that
