So how involved is the connection? If I were to ride w/a hack to my destination, is it feasible to take it off for tooling around town while I'm there & then putting it back on for the return trip? Or is this a really involved deal that I'd need a mechanic for?
I've owned three sidecar rigs. Taking on and off is quite simple. Helps to have an extra pair of hands though.
There is three mounting points that the bolts need to be pulled, electrical connector just needs to be unplugged.
The tap to the bike's rear brake would need to be undone and plugged.
Tools....you would need wrenches, a bottle jack (helps bigtime), some wood blocking and brake fluid to replace what is lost.
