last week i had asked the forum about arnott air ride as i'm in the market for one of them.
got a boat load of good feedback and helped me to just about pull the trigger on the arnott system.well i found out about the legend set up .and would like some more of that great feedback from my forum counterparts.to maybe show the differences in these two set ups.could anyone using the legend on a street glide share your experience? mine is an 09 .thanks in advance ride safe
I have the legend on my softail custom and the arnott on my rocker. Both systems have been great with no problems from either system. I just bought a street glide and I am currently in the same dilemma as you. I can not decide which system to go with, but I am leaning towards the legend because of the system set-up. I will say that the handlebar controls on the legend are nicer than the arnott with respect to the systems I currently own. I guess you whatever you decide, you will not go wrong. Both systems provide a much better ride than stock or progressive IMO (yes i have had the progressive).
thanks dream...even thou its old thread...good info forme! i ride a 2011 street glide and need / want to lower it. am thinking about progressive front kit drop in at 1 or 2" and was wondering about their rear air dragger.....sounds like you think the legand or arrnot is better than progressive?...
any input is appreciated!
im short @ 5'4" w/short inseam...so getting the bike lower = better footing at stops and slow ride mode....ya know?....
would like to compromise ride quality as little as possibe!....
thanks!
LATrue, you may be interested in the new 3" drop seat kit by Fat Baggers Incorporated (FBI). The installed kit looks bad a$$ and it will certainly get you lower. The thing that sounds so appealing to me is that it will get you sitting in the bike and not on the bike. Of course any bike is more responsive with your center of gravity closer to the ground. Anyway, the set-up looks really good.
As far as air ride suspension, I can't get enough comparison information to tell. None that makes me feel VERY decisive. I definitley do not want the Progressive air system. I really like the systems on my other bikes, but they are softails (different type of shock). Not sure what I am going to do just yet. Arnott or Legend? I will do some more research before I make a final decision.
