I think the pre 2010 "California" and "International" models had the cats in the mufflers but I'm not sure, the 2010's have it in the merge collector. Aftermarket exhaust won't void your warranty but you might want to re-map just to cover your @ss because if there's a problem you better believe they are going to try to blame it on something YOU did.
How many of you have thrown or thinking about throwing your factory warranty out the window to upgrade your engine and exhaust system to get rid of the catalyist converter.
Were is the cat located on the 2010's??
I threw my factory warranty out to go to 124". No regrets at all.
The S&S warranty is better than the SE warranty anyhow.

nope. They are in the Muffler in the 2008 and earlier. Moved to the head pipe from 2009 in California/International models and all 2010 models.

My motor warranty is shot.2010 ultra with 124 with 14 miles on the odometer!!! I guess maybe i should have thought about the warranty huh??
Bought the 2-1-2 head pipe and jackpot slip ons from Fuel Moto, installed them and the air filter kit I bought at my local dealer. They tuned it and said if I have any warranty issues they will come and get my bike wherever i'm at and take care of it. I sure hope I never set foot in one of these dealers that trys to scare people away from aftermarket products. I don't want them seeing a dime of my money.
Sorry for semi-necro'ing this thread but it seems the closest to the question i wanted to ask.. and didn't want to be the guy who doesn't search for an answer before asking questions.
So I now understand that my '10 RKC has the cat in the header pipe.. I assume that reduces the performance gain of just adding new slip-on's rather than the whole pipe? Are slip-on's still viable if i leave the cat in the head pipe? (still much cheaper which I like). I would be doing stage 1 AC and EFI remap at the same time of course.
Also if anyone has a ballpark of what I could expect to pay have this done? Most likely at an indy.. I know the rinehart slipons i was looking at run about $500.. dont know about the rest..
