Thanks bro! I love them already. I can go out and just stare at them! They feel SO comfortable. The best part is knowing how much $$$ I saved doing it myself. There is a great deal of satisfaction once you are done.

Now to get my new exhaust on and get the new air cleaner on as well (if the damn thing ever makes it here LOL) Oh and I have a TTS to play with as well

Oh yea almost forgot, a new weather advisory was just issued for my area....6-9 more inches of snow. Global warming my ***!!

IMO go bigger than you think. I am 6 foot and went with the 12's. I have them pushed all the way forward and while riding my hands are a little bit lower than my shoulders. Needless to say I wish I woulda went with 14's.

If you dont want your hands in the wind sell the bike and buy a car!

And don't expect to be able to use the fairing mirrors. Yes you can see them but you're arms will make them difficult to use for quick lane changing etc.
If you want to retain the stock mirrors don't go with apes. If you want apes you'll need to add bar mounted traditional mirrors.
Ps I'm 6'3" and went with 12s. They fit me perfectly!

I'm 5'10" and disagree with this totally. I have 12" PYO MBB and see great out of the stock mirrors looking under my arm. Took me about 1 minute to get used to it. Maybe being 6'3" changes the angle enough to make it tough. For the guy who is 5'6" you'll be able to see fine. I would go at least 12". 10" puts your hands right in the middle of the mirrors. I was like a lot of guys and wasn't sure about the bars being above the fairing. Went ahead and went with the 12s and am very glad I did. If I was doing it today I would go with 14" or 16". I had 16" with 2" risers on another bike, not a bagger, and loved them.

But that's my point - if you need those mirrors in an emergency, looking under your arms just aint natural.

Each to their own though!!!
