No, it does not come with the powervent, just the crossover tube. It was an alternative Tim mentioned rather than sending it into the air cleaner, an idea I am just not wild about. I am going to run it without a line to see how it does. If I get a lot of blow by, I will vent it to a filter a small filter or something.
I took the black nipple out and plugged the hole with a brass 1/8 NPT plug. We will see how it does venting like this. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't notice a large amount of blow by in my stock setup when I took it off. Then again, I haven't had the bike long so I am not sure how it will be.
I spoke with Tim late this afternoon. I liked what he had to say and felt he gave me a fair price for the Powerpacc & Inline Powervent for the crossover tube. $290 with free shipping seemed too good to pass up. One concern I had was if only having one powervent connected to the crossover tube would be enough as compared to the other kits that come with 2 vents. He assured me that the one vent would be enough (I think when you get up to the big motors, 130" that it becomes an issue). I'll be happy if this setup reduces the blowby. If it eliminates it, so much the better. Thanks for the heads up on this.
Congrats Delta, pretty much the same reasons I ordered mine. Lots of members here seem to love it so it was pretty much a no brainer. Tim just made it that much easier.
That is because you cannot run powervents the way they were intended. Look at the pictures of mine and of someone's who has them installed on the breather bolts.
I am thinking the only reason he says that is to keep someone from trying to use the vents on breather bolts and buying them. My powervent is the inline one. His website is also a little outdated. He mentioned to me they are going to have a new site up soon.
Hey Noz,
Just got mine tonight. Looking over the parts, I don't see a spacer to put under the air cleaner cover. Did you get one with yours? I think it's a 5/16" spacer.
