Ignition switch problem HELP!!
I'm pushing the release button on the bottom and the barrel key will turn counter clockwise a bit past unlock but the stem won't pull out
Do you have it in the lock position when you are trying to take it out?
Turn your forks to the left and move the lock back and forth until you get the lock to come up some then you will have to move it around to catch the next level of tumbler and turn it. It is a pain but you should be able to manipulate it. Once you get it out get everything lined up in the lock position.

It should pop up if you are turning the key past the unlock and push up on the release underneath the lock head. Try watching the video again. If that doesn't work get away from it for awhile and come back to it later. When the frustration level raises finesse level goes down.

UPDATE:
I worked on it last night and got it fixed. I was trying to be to gentle when I was pulling it out. When it went in wrong it was a bit snug and I didn't pull hard enough to get it out. Once the stem was out it was easy to line up the switch inside and get it working. Thanks to all who offered advice yesterday. All is well now
