That's what I was thinking. So I took delivery on Teusday and ordered my parts. I can do R&R work I'll put on the Rineharts and the A/C, but I'm going to need some advice on the PC5. I don't know what to do about the sensors.
If the dealer is going to install everything before you get the bike, let them. You better off breaking in a properly tuned bike.
Also, usually, anything that's put on at delivery gets the full 2 year warranty. I'm not sure how that will come into play with the Power Comander, but if anything goes sideways with the bike, your dealer should stand behind something they put on at new.
Also check with the dealer if there is any impact to you HD warranty when he does this. If it's your home dealer, it may not be an issue as they did the work. Another dealer may not look at it the same way.
I'd put everything on. Might as well break it in running better with a good tune and set up how your going to ride it. Just make sure that he's going to stand behind you should anything go wrong. The pipes and A/C aren't the issue as much, but the Power Comander may.
A canned map for your bike and that set up is easily and readly found. You won't need a dyno. After you break it in you might, but unless your drag racing and need that extra 10th, the map should get you as close as you need. Don't bother or get talked into it.
Find a windshield that you like to cut out any buffering you may have. Stay away from MOCO and look towards Clearview, Klockworks, or Cee Baily. Once you get a better shield, enjoy the ride and go with you other mods from there. You might find that the bike won't need anything else. The windshield was the biggest and best mod for the RG so far for me.
No it's not a popularity contest. As others said, be a little more descriptive and you may get more responces.
Have fun with the RG and welcome to the forum.

I didn't want to go with the Dealer because they only offered V&H with Racetuner and I wanted Rineharts with a PC5. The map is being preloaded for me, so I hope to get my break-in before I Dyno. I hope this doesn't affect warranty.
congrats on the bike. i have a 09 rg and have added:

running a fuelmoto map and bike runs great and get 45 mpg approx. on hiway @ m70-75mph. good luck and ride safe
Can't offer much advise on the motor mods because I'm still trying to figure out what to do myself. I've just been trying to get the bike comfortable for me and that has included a Clearview windshield, floorboard extenders, lowers, Ohlin shocks and the stock seat soon to have the double decker foam mod by Mean City Cycles.
I would have suggested to ride it 500-1000 miles and break it in before doing engine mods but after seeing some pictures of pistons with 500 miles on them I'm not sure now.
Would recommend using RedLine synthetics and their tranny Shockproof at the 1000 mile fluid change, really did wonders on my 2007 FLTR. I'll be doing that again on my new bike in a week or 2. Of course you can read hundreds of threads abouut oils, etc and get about as many suggestions there, too.
Yea, funny how some threads get lots of attention and some don't. Don't let that bother you, hit it with a bump if it moves down the page without anyone replying and try not to be sarcastic and eventually folks will see it and help out.
Welcome to the forum and good luck with your mods and keep us posted on your results and impressions.
You might also consider new bars. I'm 5'-10" and it's a stretch in the stock seat. It's fine for riding around town, but I'm installing Wild-1 517s before I ride to Daytona.
Good luck!
Thanks I will check out the 517's. I had 1 1/4" Chubbys on my RK
dealer installed rienhart true duals, big sucker, and race tuner with a cannsd map before i picked up my bike.brought it back in at 1500mi. for the dyno.that way everything was covered. i sure wouldnt want them to dyno the bike until its broke in....worried me even than
Well, I would think you will never need to dyno your bike as the autotuner will self adjust
to optimal fuel air settings everytime you change something. The dyno would only be useful
to see what sort of power you end up with once the autotuner has done its job.
I never installed an autotuner do I have to install the sensors? I was told to install the Rinehart TD's with no sensors then to the 1000 mile break-in. Then get the dyno and install the auto tunerat that time. The autotuner directions say to install the sensors.

How do you like the Rinehart TD's? Are you useing the sensors? Do you know what you got for Horsepower and torque?

Sounds like you've been having some garage time with your RG (very good for bonding ). Are you usins sensors? What kind of Sundowner did you go with?
