Here is what I wrote yesterday:

"Kuryakyn sells a new 1-piece inner tranny cover, part # 7780, so I bet it's what HD sells now under his own part number.
I bought the 2-piece cover for my 09 Ultra a couple months ago and the back piece is pretty much hidden by the heat shield under the seat so I'll stay with mine, unless Kuryakyn gives me a pretty good deal on the new one. I doubt they will.

I just called Kuryakyn and spoke to a Customer Service supervisor. They didn't offer me any kind of attractive deal other than a standard 20% off (which I can get from pretty much any dealer around here) for me to buy their new 1 piece cover to replace the 2-piece cover 1 bought 6 months ago.
Just so you know that if you bought the "old" cover for your 09 from them, you're stuck with it, even if they released a new and much nicer cover for your bike.
Needless to say, after having spent more than $500 in Kuryakyn accessories for my 2009 Ultra, I'm pretty upset and I will move Kuryakyn to the very bottom of my list of vendors.
