I just finished installing 10" Monkey bars on my 07' Street Glide and it was a PITA! I used a small chain to pull wires, just drop it down, move the bars around a little bit and whammo, the chain drops out the holes, I used a squirt of silicone spray to help. It only took about an hour or so to get the wires pulled. The guy who said he used the stock cables is full of ****, EVERYTHING had to be 4" longer.
I went with Barnett braided throttle/idel and clutch cables (made in USA) not the crap that HD sells (made by motion pro in china). For the wires, i ordered from Namz in PA.
It was a pretty tough job for a shade tree mechanic like me.
A word of advice, make sure that you have ALL the pieces before you get started.
Don't forget that on your bars from the center on the bottom they come back and then up.... On the bars for the road glide they just come straight up....
I noticed that the top point of the bars were sticking out about 2 1/2-3 inches higher than the SE Windshield. I am going out side right now for a picture.... I am back with some more pics.
That looks AMAZING!!! I will be placing my order next week...c'mon tax return....
