That I don't know and it may not be possible. Good question for one of the hard core techies on this forum. Is the wiring harness different for 96 vs 103 factory engines? Seems to me that the ACRs fundamentally need to plug into a harness that supports them.

As I said ealier in this thread, I have had two different high compression builds in the bike since it was new, and have 45k miles on it now and still the original OEM starter and stock cables. Religous use of the CRs will save a lot of wear and tare.

The 08 and up bikes are pre-wired for the ACRs, the pigtails are tucked away right behind the air filter backing plate. I try to steer all away from high torque starters. Most of them require higher cranking amp batteries and heavier cables, both positive and negative. That and if the bike doesn't start for any reason, you do not have much in reserve in the way of cranking time. A properly built and tuned bike with CRs will absolutely not need a high torque starter.

I would and I would also use the S&S cams with the C.R built in to them,my Indy just did a 106 with the new S&S cams and the engine turned over better then stock...Yes C.R does make a differance......

I am keeping an open mind to the S&S easy start cams. Something new that really has not been proven over the long haul but the local dealer has done a couple of builds with them and they do start well. I just am not sure either about the grinds available and how they will work with other components.

THANKS TO EVERYONE for answering my questions,I made up my mind and monday morning i will tell him to order everything C/R included maybe in a couple of weeks once i get it tuned and dyno i will post the numbers. So it looks like it will be S&S 106 with 10.1 comp. andrew 50HG gear drive cams, johnson lifters,S&S adj. pushrods.C/R and stock heads,my builder suggested heavier clutch spring.Did i miss anything. besides gaskets (You can always pick out a bike starting with C/R)

My point exactly, CRs should be standard on a stock engine. The first time I have to get into mine I’ll have them installed.

You trust your motor to your "engine builder". Yet you ask us questions about his vision. Ask him about the torque.
