Default High Compression Baggers

How do you guys like your baggers with 10 to 10.5:1 CR? What issues do you face raising CR like this?

I don't have a bagger, but the thing, is it is not just raising the compression. It's a whole process. One thing needs another, and another, and another.
Done right, it works just fine.

As long as all the components compliment each other, and the build is done right, and you get a good tune...........any CR is reasonable on a bagger.

I'm at 10:1 with my 95" build, but my Woods TW-6G cams like that CR..........so everything works fine.

Big thing is to install compression releases to give the starter a break on hot restarts.

Thinking woods 7H and 10.5:1 CR. 103 C.I., slightly massaged heads with compression releases and woods springs. Getting someones use build and thinkin of trying it out.

Heck..... the woods cannot be any louder than the valvetrain I presently listen to.!

Well......... that idea got shot in the a**. Just looking everything over one last time before getting the money order. I have as a desktop on one of the screens on the PC a 09 FLHX. Looked over and 'saw' the top motor mount on 09 bagger.

CRAP! these 07 Dyna heads are NOT a bolt up to my Bagger anyways. Dyna heads don't have the ability to attach the 09 motor top mount on the front head.

I'm usually less of an idiot.

That's a bummer............now you'll have to spend more money to get it done.

Default High Compression Baggers

Wurk Turk,
Take it from me, save yourself allot of grief and make sure to do your research first, like eveyone said, make sure it all fits, you'll save allot of $$. My bagger is running at 10:1 with a woods TW5-6, it's very quiet and scoots. I'm changing heads and pistons soon, moving up to 10:5:1. With the change I'm expecting a very smooth and very quick bike. Good luck. I'm in San Diego, if you need to talk get back to me.
