I've made several shifters and shifter pegs and was asked to post a picture of the Snap-On wrench shifter. I also have a picture of the deep well 1/2 inch drive 1/2 inch socket shifter peg. Very easy to make. Don

I needed a specific length shifter for some extra foot room. The wrench was the right length, so I fitted it with a spline to match the shaft, and made a 5/16 by 24 insert for the open end. I started riding in the 60's and we had to make most of our "custom parts"
