just purchased a pair of "freedom-wings" air deflectors online...easy to find: google "freedomwings.com"
cost: just squeaked by under $70 (shipped!) about 30 bucks cheaper than the motor company
shipping: arrived in 3 days, priority mail
installation: normal - 3 minutes........with a couple of Carta Blancas, 25 minutes.....it WAS saturday afternoon....
conclusion: they worked great....i tested them out at different angles on a 50+ mile ride today......can definately see/feel the advantage of having these babies.....this modification is well worth the money......AND, i strongly suggest the secondary installation method listed above.....adios!
wow you posted just in the nick of time as i was just looking a the same air deflectors and was gona ask if anyone used them and what they thought. oh well now i know, thanks.
frozen: you're welcome......remember, they install better with a cold Carta Blanca (or whatever your preference)....actually, the person that i purchased my bike from instructed me to buy air deflectors, saying that i would not regret it...i'm in houston and deal with heat more than cold.....i think that it was the correct decision....good luck.....adios
im in illinois so i deal with both heat and cold at different times of the year, and what i call the under current from the bottom side of the fairing on my street gliide. im thinking these will be a good investment. thanks for your review. a couple of cold buds will also calm me before and during installation.
remember.....as you "gently" remove the plastic "plugs" in your fairing (save those in the zip-loc that the provided screws come in.....you might want to reverse the process, if you ever sell the bike)...instructions are simple...too simple.....that's why you must use "aiming" fluid.....Carta Blanca, Budweiser, etc. (just kidding!!!!)...really, it only takes a couple of minutes to install.....real good, concise instructions........i've been to chicago in december....i understand why you are "frozen".....adios!

I have them on my 09 Ultra and I also added their new Freedom Wings Plus. The Plus cut the wind coming from under the tank. They eliminate most of the buffeting.
