I'm thinking of trying out these Taylor plug wires, Sumax distributes them I think. They're supposed to be good, better than stock at least.

I was thinking about trying these guys out. www (dot) boxoflube (dot) com. I am in no way affilated with them. He fixed my old crotchrocket in 2002 when I first started riding street bikes. From there he has grown and now has an online store. Pretty neat to watch some one grow locally to be nationally known.

Stock plugs, RedLine for the fluids here. Best items I have found.

I use 4164 Autolite plugs they are cheap and they last as long or longer than most and are avalible at a lot of auto parts stores.
I changed to Mobil 1 oil this year because it's easier to get compared to most brands.

Looking at new plugs and wires myself. Always used stock plugs since 1998, and shopping around the catalogs now for spring I figure why not try something different. Gonna go with Accel Platinum. A two-pack is about the same, a bit less, than buying two E3's. Let me know how you like those though. As far as oil, no problems with dyno or syn. Depending on how regularly you change it I'd say make your decision. If you change it every 3 months regardless of mileage, go with a dyno or blend. If you definately put over 3K on the oil before changing go with a syn. I am changing to Royal Purple 20w-50 ever since Mobil1 and Castrol blew the lid on their scams and released they sell no true syns and only sell blends with diff packaging, but thats a whole 'nother story. RP is a true syn but should not be left in the tank all year. Good luck.

Up to now, I have put HD in all three holes as well as the plugs. I have done some look'n into various options and have decided to go with Redline in the Trans and Primary, Hogsnot for Oil, and stock HD plugs. I planned to try a different plug, but after getting worn out on the fluid threads, I put the white flag up and went with what I knew on the plugs.
I have come to the conclusion that it darn near doesn't matter what you use, as long as you use it and change it with some amount of regularity. Piece of mind has a different price point for everyone. Go with what YOU will be happy with.
I would recommend changing plugs yearly, couple bucks and 10 minutes labor goes a long way. Then I throw the old ones in the saddlebag for back up.

I am really looking for opinions on the primary and tranny fluids.
I was thinking about getting the SE orange wires, but not sure i would like the look. What about plugs those new E3 plugs?
That sewing machine noise you heard was the less friction from using the Synthetic oil. Less friction, less heat, less wear!!!

Don't pay attention to all the boneheads in here.

Here's what ya do.

You can join the few in here that actually embrace reality by..........doing whatever the F*@K you want, regardless of what the self appointed experts have to say......

Which for me is.....

Stock plugs and plug wires (others are useless unless you have a seriously built up motor) & I personally use Mobil 1 V-Twin in all three holes.

But by all means DIY, save the bucks and have fun doing it........and use whatever YOU feel is right for your bike.
