Just got a 2010 18" streetglide front rim to put on my 06 sg - it has factory weights that appear to be attached with some type of adhesive - i want to try dyna beads after reading about all the success members here have had with them - my question - what do you use to remove the factory weights & when removed is there any damage done to the black finish on the mag? - thanks for your info
I just last week put a new E3 on the rear of my UC. I've always been skeptical of trying new stuff like Dyna Beads, but I hate the ugly wheel weight's. I ordered the Dyna Beads with my new rear tire. Real easy to install and it's amazing how smooth the ride is. I'm sold on them!! Jake Wilson is where I bought my new tires. They said put 2 ounces in the rear tire. I used WD40 to clean the old wheel weight glue from the rim. In fact, it does a great job of cleaning brake dust and dirt from alloy rims. Leaves them looking like new.
A+ on the Dyna-Beads, really just got out on my bike this weekend after 8-10 months of rebuild, the new wheels w/beads are perfect from 20MPH to 80MPH. Much better than before with weights.

I want to do the same thing with a new 18'' street glide wheel. I bought the wheel off of ebay and need to know what I should do to get it to work on my 06 street glide. I have wheel, tire and rotors. I did not get the axle though and I know that there is a difference in the 06 and 2010 axle. If i get an 2010 axle will it bolt right on to my 06? Will the new rotors work or should i use my existing ones?
okay now i'm sold on the dyna beads. i've been putting it off for a long time, but i'm ready to get rid of wheel weights in favor of the dyna beads. who has the best price on the stuff?
I installed dyna beads and Dunlop E3's just recently and here is my honest opinion I think they work very well but do have some draw backs.
I was riding down a stretch of highway and I was hitting the new old fix it road work and with every bounce it felt even more pronounced with the beads over the wheel weights. Also the high speed stability doesn't quit feel the same. I think the next wheel tire combo I will opt for the wheel weights.

Hopefully someone can help???
you need to use the existing rotors (i did) or change calipers cause the 2010 are larger - you can change the axle, i think it will bolt up or get a 1" wheel install kit (i did) - hope this helps
