I know this is an extension of a thread for the batwing model. Since the fairing and windshield location are much further from the rider on a RG, different windshield designs and heights apply. On my 1999 Road King I use a King size shield. I'm 6ft tall 34in inseam and am looking for a better rain windshield than stock for my 2009 RG.
I've had the OEM shield, and a Cee Bailey 7 in, as well as the current Clearview +1 med grey tint
The Clearview has kept me dry, best. I can see over the shield easily, so rain is not an issue for me
I'm 5'8" but have 28" inseams, so I have a long torso.
What I've noticed (and other may disagree) is when the rain hit me, back in my non-fairing/no windshield day.. it would HURT... I would swear the rain at any speed above 35 MPH would feel like hail, now with the RG, and the CV, I know it's raining, but there's no sensation, of hail.
