hello all,
I was in the hd dealer today and a guy came on a 2007 FLHX that has a beautiful sound, i fall in love with his bike because of the sound, i asked him about the mufflers he had on it and he said it SE and the part # is 64910-99, i can notice from the number that these are very old pipes, i checked e-bay and i found 1 set for sale, sure its used but i a good condition, can any one tell me if these pipes will fit on my 2009 FLHX, and are they worth it, sound is great and unique but not sure about performance, if they fit and worth it, how much i a good price for them?
I don't know if they will fit or not. Can't your dealer tell you if mufflers will interchange from 07-09? I IMAGINE they would, but your parts guy can tell for sure. As far as the price goes, what do/did they sell for new? Or a comparable pair of SE Slipons would sell for now? Price is your choice man,,, how much do you want them? LOL
i believe that those are the same pipes i have on my 06, they aren't made anymore because harley wanted to become a little more friendly with the epa(i think thats who it is, haha not sure) but anyway they do not make them anymore stopped in 06 or 07. i think new they were a couple hundred, thats what i was told i bought the bike that way. i love the sound of them as well. good luck, hope they fit and you get them.
If they are the old SE's, they are made by Supertrapp. I had them on my 02 Heritage and the diferance between what they were then to what they are now is dramatic.
I believe Supertrapp made them for MOCO and once MOCO went a different way, Supertrapp still kept making them under their name.
