I went with the HD set, works great, doesn't take up much room.

+1000 Got caught in a cold fall downpour with Frogg Toggs and said never again. The HD Gore-Tex is expensive as hell, but one of the best investments I've made.

I have a 10yr old set of Fieldsheer raingear. Still keeps me dry, and it has seen extensive use. I keep thinking about replacing, but just don't. The H-D stuff is high quality from what I can tell as is the Nelson-Rigg. It only seems expensive until you need it. Then it's priceless.

HD High-Viz here as well. Make sure you get boot gaiters too.

High vis here as well. Big improvement from the low end hd suit. easier to get on and off, suspenders, non slip patch sewn on the seat, zipper leg. worth the extra dough if your going on trips like that.

I am very pleased with my HD High Vis Rainsuit. 2 piece, packs away easy, has good zippers and velcro down the legs, stirrups to keep them from riding up. i bought mine one size over so i could wear a jacket under it. I ride every day and have used this suit in Texas well over 30 times in the last 6 months. I especially like how bright it is. You will not regret purchasing this item. Again, I ride every day rain or shine (sold the car to save money while going thru school) and show up dry to work and class. I can not say enough about this rain suit. of course i always used the walmart cheapies. never again!!

Last year I got frogg toggs for me, and the hd suit for my daughter. We both stayed dry. She looked better, and her suit packed much smaller. The frogg toggs I bought were not the motorcycle specific kind. I don't know if those have heat shields. My don't, but I do have the gaiters.
