longride will take care of you for sure.... should of given them a chance before posting
I think this is good info, the kind of stuff we should know. If you ask for open testing, you have to be prepaired for the good and bad.
and in doing so it has shown their level of customer service is out standing in every situation thats come up. Thats a huge + in my book. However, Im still waiting for them to work out the bugs...
I recieved my LRX X Stream 7" and am having same type issues, I took the outer fairing off to look at it and it doesn't line up correctly, old shield will set over the holes new one bows and buckles , I tried playing with it to make it work and my fairing wouldn't go down either , gently tried torqing it down to pull it in and it statred pulling the threaded female grommets out of the inner fairing, if I put the old shield over the new one and the holes do not line up, emailed Long Ride will update you, but I am now leary of the X Stream, may just go with their flip up
Looks like the shield has a flat spot instead of a curve.
That's it precisely. I really like the shield, it's shape, it's color and all the holes line up perfectly. It just needs to follow the curvature of the front of the fairing correctly and it will be perfect. I see members have indicated that theirs' have the correct curvature, so presumably something is going awry during manufacture, in some instances.
Still have not recieved new shield, when I bought the first one he shipped on Monday and I got it on Thursday, he emailed me he shipped the replacement last Friday and still no shield, I'm leaving to go to Daytona and wanted to test it on the ride over, I've called Long Ride and no answer, hopefully it will be here when I get back and I can test it and give you an update, as of now I'm not to happy with the experience
If only we lived in a perfect world. At least their stand up enough to admit errors and go overboard to correct the problem. I would give them my business feeling more comfortable that I will walk away satisfied
