Picked up an extra set of lowers to have chromed at a local shop. Guy is talkng me into polish instead of chrome.. He said looks as good, and over time, will not peel. Any comments?

I did the polish route on my last wing, It was a pain in the *** after 1 year to keep clean.

Polished is ok if they are clearcoated, otherwise be ready to rebuff the gloss back on a regular basis

Just curious, is it cheaper to purchase another set of lowers and have chromed or just by the chrome lowers?

 

Chrome Lowers are around $279
You can usually get em chromed for around $150-180
Believe it or not, but I got a set of lowers , in perfect condition (From an 06 UC),off of Ebay for $9.99. No reserve and I was the only bidder.

This way my bike is not down will I have them chromed, and I'll just put mine on Ebay, or not. $9.99, what a deal.
