Thinking of installing Progressive shocks on my 2009 street glide. As everyone knows the ride has a lot to be desired. I'm thinking of the 440 Heavy Duty because I ride two up most of the time. Does anyone have experience with the new 440?

I have run the 440 HDs. I blew the seals on them. I switched to the 412 HDs and I like them better and the seals are holding up fine. IMHO the 412s seem to ride softer and I don't get the banging sound when i hit a pot hole. The 440s made the noise almost every time. Another plus is they are half the money though thats not the reason I went this route. BTW I ran the 440s 70,000 miles and the 412s about 15,000 miles. My wife rides with me 80% of the time and she likes them better too.

If you're going to Bike Week in Daytona, stop by Destination Daytona. Progressive has a tent there and (at least today 3/3) the installs were free of charge.
I talked with them for a bit and just about pulled the trigger on the 430s (11.5") but I'm having a second seat redone by MCC in April so I wanted to wait before I looked at new shocks. I think the stock ride is fine, I just want to be a bit closer to the ground for my feet.

+1 on the 412 HD's. I just called them up and after answering some questions from them about my weight, how often I ride two up, how much touring, how much stuff i carry, then they recommended the 412's.
I installed the 440HD's on my 2007 SEUC and really like them. I also installed the new Mono Cart. Front Suspension. Bike rides great and feels solid as a rock.
