THinking of buying an Ultra Limited but still like the clena look of the Street Glide. There are a few areas in particular:
1. Front fender- does the chrome trim / light come off pretty easily? Are there alot of holes to fill?
2. Can I replace the from turn signlas and mounting brakets with the ones that are on my SG for a cleaner look?
3. Tail Light- Will and SG tail light / turn signals just bolt on in place of the Ultras?
A tour pack and a set of cams in yours would get you more than the limited has, and save you some serious money.
That said, I wouldn't want to hear that reasoning if I was bent on a new ride.
God Luck!!
Can't really answer your questions but, I think your looking at it the right way. That is, looking at the more "premeium" Ultra then changing/removing a few things to get the bike you want. I started with a E-Glide Standard, then started adding things. Now, I have too many "things" (king tour pak, chopped pak, sissy bar, racks & packs, lower fairings) that I like to change & rotate to change the look of the bike. Point is, with all the crap I've done or I have, I have as much in this bake as a SE E-Glide! and at the time of sale or trade-in, it's still just a "Standard"
Good Luck! Dave

I hear you brother. I really my SG, but I saw a strip down 09 SEEG the other day that looked exactly like the SG I hope to eventually build. If it weren't for the hassle of listening to my wife, I would sell the SG, find an 09 SEEG and take off the Tourpack, lower fairing and add a SG style seat. I'm going to spend the same money trying to get there anyway.

Absolutly, I love my bike but next purchase will be a little better thought out.

1. Front fender- does the chrome trim / light come off pretty easily? Are there alot of holes to fill? Removing the chrome/rubber bumper cleans it up well, although not as clean as the SG.
2. Can I replace the from turn signlas and mounting brakets with the ones that are on my SG for a cleaner look? Yes, but the Custom Auxilary and Bullet Turn Signal kit (same as a CVO Ultra passng lamp/turn signals) looks much better than the towel bar/pancake turn signals.
3. Tail Light- Will and SG tail light / turn signals just bolt on in place of the Ultras?
Thanks guys! Maybe SG front and rear fenders / tail light and the bullet turn signals up front, other than maybe removing the luggage rack that would be a nearly ideal bike to me. Plus as mentioned at resale it would still be an ultra limited not a street glide. If the dealer gets real about my trade I may just go ahead and pull the trigger.

no kidding, you even installed the passenger speakers on the back.
Yea, Pingman, I was going to suggest that light bar too, I will go with that I imagine, if I go with the Harley style driving lights. (May just put some smaller lights on the crash bar....) Still up in the air, I do like the "HD" look of the spots,, but like the look of the CLEAN SG fairing,,decisions decisions,,
