Rain X will "craze" the plexiglas or any resin type windshields....
Crazing is small stress cracks that occur over time....
It takes about a year to notice it
I use Wax or a standard plexiglas cleaner..
Our windshields are not made out of "plexiglass"...plexiglass is an acrylic. They are made out of Lexan which is a polycarbonate a much stronger polymer than plexiglass. Rain-x will not work on either as it will attack the polymer and cause it to haze over.
i use ghetto wax ( pledge ). it's just as good as plexus or any product like it as long as you buff it off like any other wax. water runs right off of it. good for cleaning bugs too.

I like that name Ghetto Wax! It's easy to use, and works as good or better than the high priced stuff.
I detail Ferrari show cars. (some have plexi windows) I also have detailed my bikes for years with RainX windshield washer fluid (gallon). Pour it into a spray bottle and have fun. I spray it on immediately after returning from a ride. it will remove bugs better than anything I have ever used. (let it soak) and wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. It has a nice protective gloss after repeated applications. Great on chrome. I have never encountered damage to lexan or plexi. It's dirt cheep (buck a gallon) and I also keep a small bottle in the bag for trips. Alway's been my secret formula.

Rain X makes many products..wipers,rain x original, washer flood and others.
CAUTION: Rain X ORIGINAL "yellow bottle/black top" will cloud OEM Harley windshields.
Rain X Original contains denatured alcohol and is not recommended for most coated plastics and painted surfaces. I have seen it cloud a factory shield after one use.
