Good news is my new 2010 Police Electra Glide shipped today! Bad news is the bank account is looking a little sad. Can't afford to do the CAT removal or new head pipes, so just going to go with some slip-ons for now. Looking for some feedback on the B&E Max performance 2 slip-ons, particularly on a 2010 Touring Bike (one with a CAT). Thanks in advance for any response!
Can't comment on fitment & performance for the 2010 bike. I have an 08 Road Glide. Went with the B&E superflows to begin with. Great sound and performance was improved somewhat. Installed V&H true duals & kept the superflows. Bike still runs great with awesome sound - nice deep rumble on easy throttle and lots of bark when you get on it.
Brian is a good guy- quality & service second to none. For the price its a cheap way to get better sound and a modest step up in performance
I don't even consider them a compromise - I've had them on every last single Harley I've ever owned for my whole life (both of them).
They're the whole package - Great sound, perfectly stock appearance (important to me, as I ride through more than a few places that can just write you up for having non-factory exhaust).
"Freakishly cheap" is just a bonus.
That said, I don't have a '10, so I have no idea the fitment.
I was very reluctant to purchase this pipes. I decided to email "Bob" which to my surprise, compared to others, Bob replied right away. He not only replied he took the time to explain the pipes he sales and after answering some questions regarding what type I have, which is a 2012 Ultra Harley Davidson, he recommended the two inch Flowmasters. I turned on my bike and my neighbors came out to see what I was messing around with. I didnt realize that they made such a difference... They are a mid range sound which gives out the perfect, no kidding, perfect Harley sound...
I read several reviews, here on the forum, before purchasing these pipes and boy, they are exactly what everyone says. Just right!! B and E Slip ons are a great buy..
The look is perfect, for my taste and the chrome is like any other pipes...
Hope this helps anyone considering them.. thanks for everyones help with your comments, you helped me make the right choice. Keep Riding!!!
Seems very similar to the American Custom mufflers I have. Except with the ACs, you can change the baffles out for the sound you want. And, they're only $199.00 for the pair if you send them your stock mufflers in exchange. Check them out.
