Default Question about PCV and 2010 02 Sensor disconnect

I just installed a PCV and disconnected the 02 sensors as per the directions.

Being that I originally did a HD download, I do not want to remove the sensors altogether just in case something happens to the PC and I'm in the middle of nowhere at the time.

Has anyone left the sensors on and if so, what, if anything have you found is a good way to plug the plastic connectors so they don't get filled with dirt?
I figured I would tape them up but I'm wondering about moisture collecting and ruining the connections.

Thanks

Electricians tape, folded up leads neatly and black zip tied up and out of the way for me. I l stretched a short section over the connector then a wrap around. I figured it worked well all those years in Indiana with Xmas lights it would hold up on the bike.

Per their instructions: "

7. Locate the stock O2 sensor connections and unplug both connectors (Fig. D)
The stock O2 sensors will NOT be connected to anything at this time. The sensors can be removed from the exhaust if you have a way to plug the hole.

Unplugging the sensors does NOT cause an engine light but will cause a historic code in the ECM for non-active O2 sensor. This is not causing any issues with the running of the bike.

I put dielectric grease in the connectors then mummified them with electrical tape.

Does anyone know if the inactivity of the 02 sensors left in the head pipes will degrade them over time?
