EIII's here also...5000 miles and showing no wear yet...Tracks and grips good...Can't afford the low mileage of the Avon, D402 & Commanders, i am glad i tried the EIII's.
i was leery of the "hype" regarding the E3s, but finally went ahead and tried them. couldn't be more pleased or satisfied with the tires. much better grip than the 402s, handles better, and not noisy at all (some said they found them to be noisy). anyway, if the mileage ends up as good as others have said, this is a great tire.
I would like to thank "skootchnc" for the Jake Wilson info. I just ordered a set of E3's for my Street Glide from them. They have low prices and free shipping anyway, but then you get a $10 discount for buying 2 or more tires, and if you use the promo code mentioned in skootch's post, you get another $20 off. I used the "JW009" code when checking out and it worked perfectly! In the end I got 2 new Elite 3's shipped to my door for $176. Not bad!
I just put the E3s on a few weeks ago on my 07 electra glide classic. So far, so good. I put the stock size tire on the front and a 180/60b16 on the back.
Put on E3's at about 9000miles, now 17000miles, love them.

i switched to the e3s at 20,000 miles, both front and back. now at 38,000 miles and still have a ton of tread left on the rear. front looks new. hope those jakewilson retail discount codes are still in effect when i need to replace mine, could be next winter before i'm ready at this rate.

Dammit.... that was a "secret"..... now everyone knows......
I would soooooo love to put E3's on my '09 RG, but that damn (and unique) 17" front rim keeps me from doing so! If new/custom rims weren't so damned expensive, I might get rid of the OEM rims to give me more options.
....sorry, not trying to hijack this thread, just venting.
