Default New Road Glide Tires

Spring is here and it is time to get some new tires on the Road Glide...

I currently have Metzelers on now and I am not going there again... I think I got a bad set, as over the last two years the rubber had gotten really hard/slick and these things have become really scary at any speed...

So, I am down to three choices...
1) The Stock Dunlops...
2) Dunlop E-3's
3) Avon Venom's

Any thoughts you have will help my decision. My local shop has a tire sale in 3 weeks so I need to make up my mind quick!

Thanks so much!

I use the E3's on my RG and am happy with how they handle although they do seem to ride a bit more firmly than the 402's. They have about 9k on them now and look to have plenty more left in them.

Avon Venoms. Excellent ride comfort and handling in all conditions. Be aware that Avon recommend slightly higher pressures than Dunlop, so check their website for your bike.

I'm partial to E-3s.... but all the tires mentioned are good tires...
FYI Jake wilson has "discount codes" but don't tell anyone... ok?

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/jakewilson.com
between the free shipping, and regular discount for buying 2 tires at once.... PLUS the discount... things add up

IMHO E-3's are the way to go on the Road Glide. Best thing I did to mine. In all fairness I have to say when cold they are not so sticky so I take it pretty easy for 3-5 miles. But overall I freakin LOVE them.

Put on E3's at about 9000miles, now 17000miles, love them.
