Problem with Kuryakyn lights
I just installed LED turn signals, PN 4949, and the smoked LED tail light, PN 4833, on my 2004 FLHRS Road King Custom. The only problem is that when I hit the turn signals, only the tail light signals, the turn signals do not flash. If I take the brake light adapter out of the harness so that the stock harness is plugged into the stock harness, the turn signals work fine. I have switched the switch on the module to both stock and Panacea positions and I have used 1 load equalizer, 2 load equalizers, and no load equalizers and the effect is still the same. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

I have had virtually the same problem upon install last night. Installed new rear taillight, which works fine, as do the directionals and brake built into that light. Installed front and rear turn signal inserts. Front works fine but rear is as described by previous poster. Any help?

When you changed front and back turn signals from incandecent to led you decreased the resistance in the circuit that allows the flasher to work . You need to add a modulator to help them function. If you return either front or back bulbs the new led insert should work. This is a test to see if the inserts are OK. One set of incandecents provide enough resistance to make the other set work.

Did you install all Kuryakyn stuff? It turns out that I ordered the wrong part number for the turn signals. So I have the Panacea tail light with the regular LED turn signals. SO I have to have the switch in the stock turn signal position. They work fine now, but they do not function as run/brake/turn. Check to see if you have the Panacea turns as well, make sure you plug in the load equalizer, unplug the control unit, and cycle the switch a few times. That got mine to work.
