I have been looking into the aftermarket fairing world and am ready to purchase one. I am also sure that once it is on it will never come off, and with that said, I was wondering if anyone has installed a FLHX fairing onto a Road King? Is it possible? And if it would be an easy conversion?
Funny you should ask..............Click HERE and see what it looks like to delve into the conversion. Easy? No. Cheaper than selling or trading for a Street Glide? Yes. It's not a plug and play conversion, but it's not a major undertaking either. PM me, and we can talk. I am in the process as we speak.
Johnny D. looks like your going to have yourself a nice ride when your done. I am on the east coast and ready to hit the sack I will check back tomorrow to see if your on to chat. I would rather do the fixed over the detachable.
I have a DCC fairing, I took it off for a local ride last weekend, just motoring around the local county area for a few hours, wind in the face at 35-50 felt great with no bugs. I have reinstalled it as the rainy season is upon us and the cooler weather has returned.
DCC, Woody's, Memphis shades are all good looking units for the price and still removable.
