Won't start!
Hey Guys,
After a long and hard winter in the northeast we finally get some good weather. Only problem is the bike won't start. It's an 06 Streetglide. It's been sitting for about 3-4 months on a trickle charger. I kept checking to make sure the light was still on the charger throughout the winter but when I took the cover off and tried to fire her up, it was stone dead. I checked the charger and it was set to 6 volt!!!!! I put my regular battery charger on it and it turned over but it would not start. I haven't checked for spark or anything yet but my question is could the trickle charge on 6 volt over the winter cause any damage? I usually never put any gas treatment in and I usually don't have any problems but the gas could have gummed up also I guess. Anybody know if the charger could have caused any damage?

If it was me, I would replace that battery if it's more than a couple of years old just for peace of mind, regardless of whether or not it "might" be bad.
If its pretty new, call the battery tender boys and ask for technical help. One of the technicians will tell you if you wrecked the battery or not.
