With just changing the exhaust, the motor is not sucking in any more air but there will be less restriction on the exhaust being pumped out which means there will be an imbalance. It may not be a HUGE difference and it may not even be noticeable but it is enough to throw something out of wack. I say ride it down to the dealership, have them install a stage 1 air cleaner kit and remap it. You'll be glad you did. JMO
dont listen to your dealer i have a 09 flht with just vance and hines slip ons and its fine i am upgrading to air kit and pcv soon but just mufflers you should be fine even my dealer says the same thing now if you go to air kit then you need remapping
Hey, thanks for all the feedback. Sorry I didn't explain completely. Yes I plan on riding to the dealer and having them install the stage 1 and remap. But Mr. VETERAN75 brings up another point about an after market tuner. What is the TTS? Is it supported by Harley? Please explain or post link if it has already been disscussed on this fantastic forum. Thanks
Here's the OP - I don't see the words HAS TO anywhere...

OF COURSE IT WILL! MINE DOES...
So I don't think the guy is an idiot at all...his advice is certainly more conservative then yours but, as suggested in another post, you're not the one providing warranty coverage.
