Default please help my ears

hello all new to hdforums and need some help. was looking at putting the biketronics 180watt amp and 7.25" speakers in a 09 roadglide and was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions of what would be a better choice than the BT. want a nice sound upgrade but want to do it right the first time

skip the amp and just install the j&m 7.25 speakers. no amp required and sounds great.

I've heard the Biketronics is a good amp from TexasFatboy and others on forum but I'd get the Biketronics Titan/Hertz speakers to go along with it. Hawg Wired amps are good too if your looking for plug n play install. If you willing to do alittle wiring vs plug & play highly recommend the Arc Audio amp. Member Firecap501 sales the Arc Amp packages. I purchased all my stuff separately and did it all myself and I am very happy with my Arc/Focal combo !

Biketronics is a good setup but if you want a better tuneable sound then my vote would be the Arc audio also with the Hertz speakers. The new 6.5" Hertz are one of the best in my opinion. The 7.25 JM are good for most but I am not a fan of their tweeters, they seem very flat and tinny sounding. The hertz tweeter has a much better brilliant sound coming from it. Just my opinion

thanks for the replies all. I might just go with a speaker upgrade first and see if that is good enough if not then i will add an amp thanks again

I agree the small magnet and 50% of woofer blocked by tweet/midrange can't help for bass either.
