Just put the Titan 6 1/2" speakers in my 09 roadglide last night, although much better than stock were they worth the xtra cash. will the amp make an xtreme differnce and wich one is a better choice the 75watt or the 180watt.
I have the Biketronics setup in my RoadGlide and love it. Yes, the amp will make a significant difference. I started with their BT454 75w amp and 5.25" titan/hertz speakers. It was a definite improvement over stock. When they came out with the adapters for 6.5" speakers, I upgraded to the 6.5" titan/hertz and also upgraded the amp to the BT480 180w. WAY better overall sound IMO. Upgrades can get kinda pricey, but felt I got a fairly decent bang for my buck, sound wise.
There are a lot of great products out there to choose from. I have friends who went with Biketronics and are as satisfied as I am. I have friends who went with Hawgwired and they are happy in their choice. I upgraded only the speakers in my Ultra with NO amp and I'm happy with that setup (4 speakers). J&M offers a 7.25" speaker now that has been getting some positive press. Bottom line is, any/all of the aftermarket systems and products offer a measure of performance over the stock HD system, and you'll find a lot of satisfied customers using every known product out there. Do your homework, decide what you're willing to spend or fits your budget, and go from there. Good luck.
I think you'll be happy with that setup. And if you're not happy with it after you install it, I'm pretty sure they'll take it back within a reasonable trial period. Ask them about return policy when you order. They were real friendly to talk to and customer service has been top notch in my dealings them. Just ask to be sure, so if you decide it's not enough oomph you can send it back.
