You can get the 38649-08 HD clutch cable to keep it stock look if that's what you are doing. The 32310-08 sensor is suggested as it does away with the green clip like the OE unit has. However, several have used the OE with internal wiring and it worked without incident. The brakes are all dependent on whether the bike has ABS or not. If the bike has ABS and you need to extend the top cable, you will have to have the dealer bleed the brakes as it is required to properly test them on the Digital Technician with ABS. You should also get a new tranny side cover gasket. On the 09 you can remove a rear heat shield and gain access to the tranny side cover without dropping the exhaust like we have to on the 08 and earlier. You can put the bike tires up on 2x4 lumber and lean it over onto the side stand and not have to drain the tranny oil
When I added the 575's to my '08 Ultra, I used a +4" clutch cable so that I could run it in the stock location. I ran the wiring throgh the bars and didn't need any extentions, but did have to do a little bit of re-arranging inside the fairing so that everything would reach. Getting the wires run through the bars was lots of fun.
+4 on the clutch, +2 on the brakes. You don't need to extend the control wires, but you certainly can if you want. Get the new twist grip sensor for internal wiring, you'll thank yourself for it later. If you have any desire to have heated grips, now's the time to do it, the twist-grip is prewired for them (the extra black & white wires). With the stock exhaust you don't have to touch the exhaust or the heat shields to change the clutch cable. If you're thinking about changing levers, now would be a good time.
Take your time, diagram the connectors before you take them apart. Take pictures.

I have a 09 SG with cruise and ABS. Had WO 575's installed by my local stealer. They said that they would let me know when they got into it if I needed any extended wiring, cables and/or brake lines. I got a call to say they were done and to come and pick up the bike. Well all they needed was a +4" clutch cable and only charged me 3 hours labor. I guess I can no longer call them "stealer" because they could have easily had said they needed all new wiring and a brake line as well. Total parts and labor bill was $552.00 plus tax. Pretty damn good deal considering I had my bike the next day. Oh by the way they said they were able to pull the wiring with the factory wiring protector still intact.
