Hot Bike Baggers
It's isn't because it isn't a Harley either.
I can appreciate a cool motorcycle no matter who builds it BMW, Ducati, Motor Guzzie, Triumph all make sweet looking rides and their not Harley Davidsons.
Victory = Ugly (IMO)
Sorry if you like them but maybe you should go to a Victory or flying saucer forum.
I recently took a Cross Country for a test demo, about 10 miles of misc speeds. It sits very low and no mods would be needed for my 30" inseam, the seat is comfy and the floorboards are absolutely fantastic. Like football fields and various positions are easily made. My size 11s were like little ants in a field! I will say that the ride was nicely sprung, rr tracks weren't felt much at all, the turning radius is equal to my RK, and the power, compared to my stock-ish 88, is very, very good. But... it's extremely plastic. The saddle bags are definately larger than HD, and the new version lock well but the molding at the top ridge will be a problem for certain. I also took the Vision for a ride but after a terrifying 5 blocks, I turned around and too it back. The vision would be a great highway bike to put the miles on, with lots of nice features to keep you comfy all day.The biggest problem that I couldn't get over, other than all the plastic, is the sound.
It's freeking terrible. The induction sound is so loud that....well I can't actually describe it. LOUD sucking. Couldn't hear the exhaust, but I did think about what would have to be modified, and the dollar signs grew. You can't even get nice looking chrome lowers?!!?!!So when I get back the owner asks me what I think, and says after a week or two I'll never remember my RK. I didn't disagree with him, thanked him very much, and then got back on my loud, bumpy riding RK and after pulling out on to the street......I let out an incredible sigh of "I LOVE MY RK!!!"
One other thing!! And this is entirely based on this dealership. Part of owning this Harley Davidson experience is being able to go to the dealership on a Sat or Sun, and just hang out!!
Nice!
