Default Weave?

I adjusted the steering head on the street glide this weekend and I'm wondering about something the manual said was the consequence of having it too loose or too tight. I'm doing this from memory, but I think it said too loose a steering head affects the bikes ability to absorb a wobble and too tight affects the bikes ability to absorb a weave.

Just what is a weave? Is that like a quick lane change? can anyone explain this?

I ended up with the steering head a little tighter than the manual calls for. I'd like to know if it's worth taking it apart and redoing it or not.

Thanks in advance.

Default Weave

I don't feel as dumb now. It doesn't look like many know what the manuals talking bout.

LOL! You're correct in that the manual states the effects of under and over torquing this nut. Too tight and the bikes doesn't absorb a weave as well. Which to me means that it's not as responsive when steering inputs are made. Too loose and the bike then becomes too responsive and more susceptible to wobble.
